Opsable
A multi-tenant platform that runs a real estate media studio, from the first booking to the paid download.

The challenge
Real estate media studios are small teams. Five to twenty people shoot photos, video, drone footage and floor plans for property listings. Most ran on a patchwork: bookings in a spreadsheet, shoots assigned over chat, files sent through a generic drive, invoices in a separate app. Simple questions had no answer. Who is on tomorrow's shoot, and has this client paid yet?
- Three layers of customer: Opsable sells to studios, and studios sell to estate agents. Both need their own view of the same order.
- Four kinds of login: studio admins, crew, clients and Opsable's own support staff.
- Finished work kept leaving the studio before the invoice was paid.
Our approach
We modelled the people first, then the code. Each studio gets its own workspace and subdomain, and a script checks that no query can cross from one studio into another. An order moves through eight stages and splits into tasks that each crew member accepts separately. Delivery is where the studio's money is protected.
Orders that match the work
- Pending, scheduled, in progress, processing, quality check, ready for delivery, delivered, completed.
- An invoice is created the moment the work is ready. The order only counts as delivered once it is paid.
Delivery that waits for payment
- Uploads wait for the studio admin's approval before a client sees them.
- Clients get watermarked previews, drawn on the fly by a Cloudflare Worker.
- Clean originals come through a signed link that works only after payment. A second Worker streams a whole order as one ZIP straight from R2.
Two money flows
- Client invoices go draft, sent, paid.
- Crew invoices run the other way: submitted, approved, paid, with room to send one back for changes.
- The studio's own subscription is billed through Stripe at platform level.
The outcome
A studio can take an order, assign the crew, review the files, deliver them and get paid in one place. The payment gate removes a familiar pain for studio owners: handing over finished work, then chasing the money.
