UX audit: Find out where users get stuck.
As products grow, friction creeps in. Onboarding gets longer, navigation gets cluttered, and users give up before they reach the part worth paying for.
Our UX audits are run by designers who also build, so every recommendation accounts for your stack and what the change will cost. You’ll see what’s hurting activation, conversion, and retention. The fixes come as a prioritised list your team can ship.
Teams we’ve built for
Users sign up. Then they quietly disappear.
- Activation is low, and nobody can agree on why.
- Support tickets ask how to do things the interface should make obvious.
- Each team designs its own corner of the product, and it shows.
- You’re planning a redesign and want evidence before you spend on it.
- There’s no designer on the team, and the product is starting to feel it.
What we cover
Every audit covers the same ground, so nothing important depends on what we happen to notice.
Onboarding & activation
Is it clear what the product does, and how quickly can a new user reach their first win?
Navigation & structure
Can people find the key tasks, and does the structure match how they think about the work?
Core flows
Where do the flows that matter most (sign-up, checkout, creating, sharing) slow down or break?
Feedback & states
Do loading, empty, success, and error states tell people what’s happening and what to do next?
Visual consistency
Is the hierarchy clear and consistent, or is every screen solving the same problem differently?
Accessibility
Does the product work with a keyboard, a screen reader, and enough contrast for everyone?
Four steps, one clear report.
- Step 01
Understand
We learn your goals and metrics, who your users are, and which flows matter most to the business.
- Step 02
Review
We walk through each flow ourselves on web and mobile, checking it against clear UX principles.
- Step 03
Check the build
A look at how your stack shapes the experience, so every recommendation is realistic.
- Step 04
Report & walkthrough
Annotated flows and prioritised fixes, presented to your team.
- Annotated maps of your key user flows
- A ranked list of issues by impact and effort
- Quick wins you can ship right away
- Longer-term recommendations with rough effort
- A walkthrough with your product and engineering team
- Founders preparing a redesign, a rebuild, or a raise
- Engineering-led teams without a dedicated designer
- Product owners who need evidence to prioritise UX work
Good questions, straight answers.
Something we missed? Ask us directly. A person will answer, not a bot.
01Do you audit web apps, mobile apps, or both?
Both. We review against each platform’s own conventions, because what feels right on iOS isn’t always right on the web.
02Will you talk to our users?
The standard audit is an expert review. If you’d like user interviews or usability testing added, we’ll scope them in.
03Do you need our analytics or code?
They help. Analytics show where people drop off; the code shows what’s realistic to change. Neither is required.
04How is this different from design-system work?
A UX audit looks at how the product works for users. Design-system work looks at how it’s built and kept consistent. They often go together, and we can combine them.
05Can you implement the fixes?
Yes. We design and build, so we can ship the recommendations too, scoped as a fixed project.
Often paired with
Design systems
Figma libraries and coded components kept in sync, and front-ends that stay fast as the product grows.
Web apps & SaaS
SaaS products, dashboards, and customer portals. The same people design them in Figma and build them in Next.js.
- Fixed fee
Code & security audit
A fixed-fee review of your MVP’s security, payments, data, and code. You get a ranked list of what to fix first.
