Performance audit: Find out where the milliseconds went.
Slow software costs you quietly. Visitors leave before the page paints, search rankings slip, and app users give up on a sluggish list long before they reach checkout.
Our performance audit measures where the time goes: network, JavaScript, rendering, or the database. We turn that into a ranked list of fixes, each with its expected gain. No guesswork, and no “rewrite it in something faster”.
Teams we’ve built for
Everyone agrees it’s slow. Nobody knows why.
- Core Web Vitals are red and search traffic is sliding.
- The app takes seconds to start, and lists stutter on older phones.
- The JavaScript bundle has grown with every sprint.
- Pages that flew with test data crawl with real data.
- The hosting bill keeps climbing, but nothing feels any faster.
What we cover
Every audit covers the same ground, so nothing important depends on what we happen to notice.
Core Web Vitals
LCP, INP, and CLS measured in the lab and against real-user data, then traced to their causes.
Bundles & loading
What ships to the browser, what could be split or deferred, and what shouldn’t be there at all.
Rendering
Wasted re-renders, expensive components, and server-versus-client rendering choices in React and Next.js.
Mobile start-up & frames
React Native start-up time, list performance, animations, and JS-thread bottlenecks, measured on real devices.
Data & APIs
Slow queries, missing indexes, request waterfalls, and caching opportunities between the UI and the database.
Infrastructure & caching
CDN, edge, and cache configuration on Vercel, Cloudflare, or wherever you host.
Four steps, one clear report.
- Step 01
Baseline
We measure how the pages and screens that matter perform today, on the devices your users have.
- Step 02
Profile
We profile each slow page and screen to find where the time goes, from the network down to the database.
- Step 03
Prioritise
Every fix is ranked by expected gain and effort, so you do the valuable ones first.
- Step 04
Report & walkthrough
Findings and a fix plan, walked through with your engineers.
- Baseline metrics for key pages, screens, and devices
- A ranked list of fixes with expected impact
- Quick wins you can ship right away
- Performance budgets and monitoring to stop regressions
- A walkthrough with your engineering team
Tools we reach for
- Next.js
- React
- React Native
- Expo
- PostgreSQL
- Vercel
- Cloudflare
- Teams with slipping Core Web Vitals or conversion
- Mobile teams fighting slow start-up or janky scrolling
- Scale-ups whose app slowed down as data and features grew
Good questions, straight answers.
Something we missed? Ask us directly. A person will answer, not a bot.
01Do you audit mobile apps as well as websites?
Yes. We cover Next.js and React web apps and React Native / Expo mobile apps, testing on real devices as well as in the lab.
02Do you need access to production?
Read-only access to the code and your monitoring or analytics helps a lot. We never need to change anything in production.
03Will you implement the fixes?
If you’d like. Many fixes are quick wins your team can ship; for the bigger ones, we can quote a fixed-scope performance project.
04Will this help our SEO?
Core Web Vitals are a search ranking signal, so improving them can help. Faster pages convert better either way.
05What if the problem is our backend?
Then we’ll find it. We follow the time wherever it goes: database, APIs, third-party scripts, or infrastructure.
Often paired with
Design systems
Figma libraries and coded components kept in sync, and front-ends that stay fast as the product grows.
MVP rescue
Built with Cursor, Lovable, or Bolt? We fix the security holes and payment bugs, then tidy the code. No rewrite.
Mobile apps
Expo and React Native apps that share TypeScript with your web app, plus App Store and Google Play submission.
